Capoeira is an art of liberation; an expression of African and Indigenous cultures formed during the time of African enslavement in Brazil. The art was used by enslaved Africans to liberate themselves from physical, mental, and spiritual bondage.
Welcome to Capoeira Angola Guerreiro de Palmares, a judgment-free zone, where you can explore the expression of your body and your voice. Our classes focus on physical and mental development and cultivating thoughtful and ethical players/human beings. We approach Capoeira as a game to be played between friends. We value inclusivity, justice, and balance in all things. Finally, we believe Capoeira should be made available to all and that one's financial status should not limit one's access.
